Crawling along the banks of the ethereal stream
Bored, and scared that the world has just died
Nothing is new under the sun!
…
After a thousand years he heard her mewing voice
Inviting him to her yellowish scarlet-lighted veranda
Her wrinkled face smiled
Told him about the Cottonwood’s white fluffs\
And the old sea that hid in the midst of the city\
…and beneath balconies
He was numb by his enchanted gasp
Her stretched hand joyfully trembled
Thus said she before entering into her delicate kitchen
“The sea is this way into the other room!”
Crawling on the banks of the ethereal stream
Bored, and scared that the world has just died
Nothing is new under the sun!
…
After a thousand years he heard her mewing voice
Inviting him to her yellowish scarlet-lit veranda
Her wrinkled face smiled
She told him about the Cottonwood’s white fluffs\
And the old sea that hid in the midst of the city\
…and beneath balconies
He was numb by his enchanted gasp
Her stretched hand trembled joyfully
Thus said she before entering into her delicate kitchen
“The sea is this way, into the other room!”
